[The tent was old and way too big for just two people, but he'd gotten it years ago for cheap and like hell was he gonna go buy a new one when this one did the job. Well, as long as it didn't rain - from his crouch at the entrance he looked up between the trees - still clear skies, mild weather, and a light evening breeze.

Maybe he should try to find a tarp anyway. The house might be 15 meters away but goddamnit they were camping, and if it rained they were gonna be prepared. He took a moment to stick his head back into the tent, going over all the supplies for the eleventh time... Finally pulled back and stood to light a cigarette, satisfied.]

[ Good ol' Belgium, the first to lend a helping hand and the last to ever ask for help herself.

She glances up when he takes the other side, offering him a thankful smile before they're both hauling it down the steps and towards the tent, setting it down with a heavy thud, the promising clink of glass against glass muffled inside.

She lets out a sigh and shakes the numbness from the weight from her fingers. ]

Thanks. That was heavier than I thought it would be.

[Once the cooler's down his hand is back up to his cigarette, pulling it out and ashing on the lawn before it gets all over his own clothing. Then he glances over at her and sighs right back.]

Coulda asked.

[And then he's looking down at the cooler, wondering if it should stay out here or go in there.]

Well, you came to the rescue before I could ask.

[ She ignores any concerns he has with the cooler as she leans over to peek inside the tent, letting out a soft laugh as she glances around. ]

You'd think we really were miles from civilization.

[ Is that a first aide kit? ]

Coulda asked before I had t'come help.

[HUFF, but really he's tilting his head and peeking at her leaning over.]

Hm.

[Yes, yes it is. That's also an outdoor cooktop, some unnecessary lanterns and flashlights, and a hatchet.]

[ She's noticing all of this, blinking at the hatchet sitting off to the side. ]

Uhm, are we chopping firewood? Why do you have a hatchet out here?

[He just shrugs.]

Wanted one.

[Because you never know, Bel.]

[ She DOES know. Knows he's a moron but if he wants one he can have it. ]

And the cooktop? I could have just made you something inside.

No.

[Hmph. Cooking inside is cheating. On that note he seems to have decided that the cooler can stay outside, and moves on to locate an ashtray. Surely he brought one out...]

Fine fine. Be that way.

[ Did he remember... or is it inside?

Either way, she's shaking her head and walking around to inspect the tent from the outside, looking for rips or tears. ]

This tent is so big.

[It... will have to be the first empty beer bottle, it seems, since there's not one out here. Fuck. While she's inspecting the tent, he digs around in the cooler and pries one open with his lighter.]

Yeah.

[Not elaborating on why, though. Just acknowledging that it is.]

At least it'll be roomy inside.

[ She glances at him, offering a smile before carefully lifting the skirt of her dress before carefully crawling in. ]

[Welp, sidetracked by those skirts. His eyes follow her in, though he doesn't. He still has a beer to drink.]

[ Once she's inside she sits on one of the padded sleeping bags, smiling to herself as she looks around. It seems even bigger once she's inside. ]

You could fit eight people in here, easy!

...yeah.

[Fuck it, he's chugging it, just so he can peer in and give her a flat look.]

It was cheap.

[ Her eyes come down to meet his when he peeks in, smiling and nodding. ]

Can't imagine you dishing out the money for a tent this big brand new.

[That's not fair. She has a dress and big green eyes and he has a beer slowly working its way through his system. Pardon him if he just stares for a second.]

'Cause I didn't.

[Not... that he moves, at all. Even though he should really set this empty bottle down and dump his spent cigarette into it.]

I know. That's why I said it.

[ She gives him a curious look before sitting up a little straighter. ]

What is it? Do you need help with something out there?

[Well that shuts him up. He shakes his head and does the whole bottle and spent smoke thing before bending down to cram his way through the tent flap, sitting beside her and spreading out his legs before answering.]

[He takes a second to look around - yeah, there's plenty of room. Good.]

[ She watches him as he crawls in with her, and though he does take up a considerable amount of space, there's enough room to accommodate him and more. ]

So why'd you get such a big one?

[It really isn't more complicated than that, so he leaves it there and starts searching around for a lantern - the sun's going down - and his stash.]

Haha, of course.

[ As if it could be anything else. She leans back on her hands and watches him as he fishes around for something. ]

What're you looking for?

[For a moment he pauses, then decides that he doesn't really care and keeps searching.]

My weed. Packed it somewhere.

[In a few waterproof bags ensconced within another bag, of course. Hey, this shit was good, and even if it wasn't he was not about to let it go to waste.]

Your weed. You won't let me make a sandwich inside but it's alright for you to have your weed...

[Totally legit. And, hey, he finds it... pulls it out and isn't sure what to do in the face of her disdain. Welp.]

[ She glances at the bag before snatching it up and looking it over, before she tosses it back to him. ]
